Rubab Hassan has extensive experience working at the intersection of strategic communications, international policy, and public affairs. She cares deeply about building collective movements for social change and creating ecosystems that foster racial and gender justice.
Prior to joining Civitas, Rubab worked as a Client Communications Specialist at Women’s World Banking, a global organization focused on advancing women’s financial inclusion. She has worked in strategic communications and public affairs consulting for both the nonprofit and private sector, helping clients build effective advocacy campaigns on topics ranging from gender equality, mental health, and inclusive tech. As a Senior Associate at High Lantern Group, she helped manage several public-private sector coalitions and fostered community-led initiatives in public health and education. Before her career in consulting, Rubab helped design social impact and leadership development programs at Eisenhower Fellowships.
Rubab received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Rutgers University and served as a Fulbright Scholar in Turkey. She holds a Master of Science in International Social and Public Policy from the London School of Economics. She is fluent in Urdu.
