Alicia Diaz is a senior associate in the Civitas Public Affairs Group DC office. In her role, she provides programmatic support to client teams on a range of issues from advancing public health policies in some of the nation’s largest cities to helping build the pipeline of progressive leaders at the state and local level.
In her time at Civitas, Alicia has executed many internal projects and events and helped maintain internal workflows and communication across offices in four states. Alicia’s interest in advocacy began in high school when she organized fundraisers towards Rotary International’s End Polio Now initiative and Shelterbox, USA. She is passionate about the power of youth to advocate for the issues they care about and volunteers with various youth mentorship and leadership programs in D.C. and her home state of California.
Alicia earned her bachelor’s degree in economics and international studies from the University of California, Irvine. Originally from northern California, Alicia currently resides in Washington, D.C.
